While I’d typically agree with the adage about ‘Paris is always a good idea’… I’d argue it’s maybe not the best timing to visit during the recent record-breaking heatwaves. I’d booked a short trip to see the Matisse and Hilma af Klint exhibitions that were ending soon at the Grand Palais, but got a little more than I’d bargained for with the weather.

We still managed to fit in a lot of the best things of France; but with a little more indoor art and a few more gelato breaks than we’d typically go for!
