Travel in Colour; Berlin

We took a speedy trip to Berlin in May, taking advantage of some discount flights, and coinciding with the last weekend of Kandinsky’s Universe at the Museum Barberini; a wonderful show celebrating Geometric Abstraction in the 20th Century. The artworks weren’t the only bright spots on the weekend, almost every stop we made was full of unexpected colours — a Kermit green vintage car parked by the flea market, a bright pink Fotoautomat, rainbows on buildings and secondhand book spines, and of course, the beautiful subway stations all over the city.
