Rainbow Spotting: Paris on the Street

rainbowspotting_paris2.jpg

Paris is probably better known for the refined, chic colour palettes; lots of black (goes with everything), Breton stripes and a swipe of lipstick, right? Although Paris is typically not as colourful as cities such as Hong Kong or Los Angeles, there are always pockets of vibrancy just waiting to be discovered, like the cute cottages of Rue Crémieux or the rows of macarons sitting in the windows of the local pâtisseries (yum!). On my last trip to Paris I noticed more colour than ever, bright swatches in the department stores, primary colours on the woven chairs out the front of the cafes, the array of glittering jewels in the boutiques - set on plush navy velvet, of course - and even a painted rainbow strip on the crosswalk. Maybe you’ll spot your own rainbows next time you’re in Paris!
