Rainbow Spotting: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

California is one of the most vibrant, colourful states I’ve ever visited in the USA. Maybe it’s all that sunshine, maybe it’s the beach proximity; whatever it is, it’s a rainbow delight almost anywhere you go. One of my favourite stops on a Californian road-trip is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The last time we visited it was winter, so lots of the attractions in the amusement park were closed, but the delightful facades are always on display - and you can admire them year round. Admission is also free, so you can access the boardwalk to take in all the details, and maybe stop in the arcade for some games before you head off again!
My favourite piece is the jumbo gum-ball machine, filled with rainbow oversized gum balls!
