Rainbow Spotting: Hong Kong Subways

HongKongSubways_3.jpg

The best thing about Hong Kong subways (aside from the reliability, affordability, and well connected network to transport you all over the island) is the amazing colour blocking of tiles that differ in each station. The Choi Hung Estate subway station was one of the few exceptions that I found, where there were more than one colour theme running through (which made sense, as it was all rainbow!) Massive terrazo chunks in the floor tiles, millions of tiny mosaic sheet tiles on the walls, and even beautiful concrete tiles on the grounds outside the subway entrances; taking the train is worthwhile for lots of reasons in Hong Kong!
