Tulips Day

I love a themed day as much as the next person… but Tulips Day (Tulpanens Dag) is up there as a real favourite (and the perfect excuse to justify an extra bunch of flowers from the market!). Tulips Day is the start of the tulip season in Sweden — and promises that spring will turn up again! After the half dozen winters I’ve spent in Sweden, having the bright tulips and the warmer days to look forward to really keeps me going through the second half of winter.

I marked this Tulips Day with a few bunches of mixed tulips from my favourite flower seller in the square, and they inspired some paper tulips, a cute little paper bunch - and a quick process video - that will last through the rest of winter and beyond!
