It’s been a hot minute since I was last in my favourite desert city of Palm Springs, but that doesn’t stop me from avidly following along online each February with all the goings on in California for Modernism Week! Over the years since I’ve been attending the annual modernism celebrations, I’ve been involved in many pop-up shows and design exhibitions, and in the past few years have contributed different art pieces to some of the events.
This year I created a couple of mid-century inspired illustrations for use on a greeting card for sponsors and event partners. It was such a nice mental escape (mostly from the -6 degrees C it’s been for me in Sweden this winter!) and teleporting myself back to sunny Palm Springs.
