Midsommar Magic

Glad midsommar! We're celebrating the summer solstice this weekend in Sweden, and after several years living this far north (and enjoying several midsommar celebrations) I truly appreciate the sun and the whole summer season like I never could have imagined. 10 pm sunsets, strawberry-themed specials in every bakery and fat bumblebees buzzing along from flower to flower... a Swedish summer is every bit as magical as a Pinterest board makes it seem!

All my favourite parts of the Swedish midsummer — the wildflowers growing along the banks of the canal and by the side of the road, the fresh strawberries everywhere, and the hollyhocks and roses in full bloom (the official start of summer, to me!)
