‘Birds, Blooms & Bugs’ by Megan McKean 2026
I’m so happy to be sharing my latest book release, ‘Birds, Blooms & Bugs’ — a very colourful, detailed look-and-find book for children that explores different versions of the backyard. From the beach to the balcony, pool to the park, every spread showcases a variety of native Australian flowers and creatures, with hidden objects to spot on each page.
I spent countless hours drawing all of these scenes, and even depicted some of my friends and family (and their pets) into the different locations. I hope all my pals get as much of a kick out of seeing themselves in print as I did drawing them in!
